The Grand Organ Festival 2023:
Among the many exciting events to take place this autumn is a concert by renowned virtuoso organist Nathan Laube (professor of organ at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY). On October 22nd, Laube will present a program of works by J.S. Bach, Vivaldi, Buxtehude, Bruhns, and Mendelssohn. The concert is presented in collaboration with St. Matthias’ Anglican Church, on the occasion of their 150th anniversary and the 50th anniversary of the Karl Wilhelm pipe organ. Those who purchase VIP tickets will have the opportunity to attend a post-concert vin d'honneur and artist meet-and-greet.

Un nom mérite particulièrement d’être retenu dans la programmation du Grand Festival d’orgue 2023 organisé par le Concours international d’orgue du Canada du 30 septembre au 29 octobre : celui de l’États-Unien Nathan Laube. À 35 ans, le professeur à la Eastman School of Music à Rochester est l’un des plus importants talents du monde de l’orgue, alliant une virtuosité sans faille à une authentique poésie de l’expression. Le 22 octobre, l’artiste interprétera une sélection d’œuvres essentiellement baroques allemandes (Bach, Buxtehude, Bruhns, en plus de Vivaldi et Hindemith) sur le splendide orgue de trois claviers de Wilhelm de l’église anglicane St. Matthias de Westmount.
