While the Fellowship committee oversees the post-service coffee time every week (yes, even in the summer!), our major activities happen in the fall. We organise and run the Fall and Spring Rummage Sales, which are neighbourhood institutions, as well as what we think is Westmount’s best Christmas Fair. We host a Start-Up Sunday BBQ in September and a Parish Christmas Party in December, and we’re always ready to jump in when an event arises, like ordinations and concerts.

Fellowship is important to us because it brings together our community at St. Matthias’, and it brings us into contact with the community beyond for both socialising and outreach. Being involved with St. Matthias’ Fellowship committee is an opportunity to do something for others, and for ourselves! We like to think that we help the church feel like a welcoming home, and help bring that welcome to people outside of the church walls.
