2nd Sunday in Advent

Advent is a time of reflection-a period in which we prepare for the joy of celebrating Christ’s birth; his coming into our world…and into our hearts. In our society however, it seems as if too much money and energy is spent at Christmas…and that has little to do with what we followers of Jesus think of as “The Way”.

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate the Second Sunday in Advent. Join us for a light lunch following our 10:30 service. If the crazy hype that the Christmas season isn’t working for you any longer, come and see how this Christmas and your life can change for the better. Come be a part of the Advent Conspiracy!

And Don’t forget! We are collecting gifts for children of newly-arrived asylum-seeking families who are temporarily housed at the YMCA Westmount Residence. Bring a gift (in the $10.-$15. range), wrapped in white paper if possible, and tagged with the age & gender of the intended gift. We will collect them on December 10th at the morning service and deliver them early in the week.
